What is Paint Correction?

Paint Correction is the most important step of restoring your car’s
paintwork and shine. This process removes swirl marks, fine scratches,
stains and chemical fallout from the environment (eg iron particles).

This crucial step is also the foundation of a glossy vehicle before
Ceramic Coating. It is important to carry out paint correction before any
wax, sealant and ceramic coating is applied on your vehicle.

The process of Paint Correction
for your vehicle is as follows:

Snow Foam to loosen contaminates
2 bucket car wash
Decontamination (for iron fall out)
Clay Bar
Buffing (1-4 stage of buffing with rotary or DA machine
depending on the severity of damage to paintwork)
Vehicle ready for sealant or Ceramic

There is also a misconception that a brand new vehicle will have perfect paintwork, which is not always the case. A brand new car can have swirl marks, marring and imperfections in the paint work. This is usually caused from shipping, storage or poor handling through transit.

In most cases, a dealership will NOT paint correct your vehicle.

Please feel free to talk to us first for any advice if you’re considering having ceramic put on your vehicle by your dealership.
